Manager – “Mushrooms With A Mission”

Project RENEW, a leading mine action program in Quang Tri Province, is expanding an income-generation program for families who are victims of explosions from wartime ordnance.  They are seeking a Manager for Mushrooms With A Mission.

Responsibilities
- Expand the project from 100 families up to as many as 1,000 participating families in the next five years.
- Introduce new processing, packaging, marketing and distribution methodologies for increased mushroom sales.
- Work with expatriate  mushroom experts to improve environmental standards, growing capacity, product lines and processing.
- Manage staff, warehousing and shipping facilities, and budgets.
- Produce profit margins to fund humanitarian demining work of Project RENEW’s Explosive Ordnance Disposals teams and other efforts.

Desired Qualifications
- University graduate in economics, trade, agriculture, or similar discipline.
- Excellent spoken and written English and computer skills.
- Good communication, analysis and evaluation skills.
- Ability to set up methods and procedures for training, management, and supervision of project staff and participating farmers.
- Ability to work in a team or independently
- Experience in related fields such as sales and marketing, business development, or NGO or bilateral ODA projects
- Willingness to relocate to Quang Tri Province or spend most of the working week in Quang Tri Province.
