Legal and Regulatory Reform Experts; Trade Policy Experts; Private Sector Experts

Chemonics International, a leading international consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks qualified Vietnamese national and expatriate candidates for the anticipated Support for Trade Acceleration (STAR) Plus project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Vietnam.
This program will support the Government of Vietnam’s efforts to continue implementation of high-level trade and investment reforms, including changes in economic governance and macroeconomic areas, and assist Vietnam with its integration into the global economy.

Positions:
1. Legal and Regulatory Reform experts
- Specifically pertaining to trade and legal reform resulting in private sector growth
- Intellectual property rights, transparency, accountability
2. Trade Policy experts
- Implementation and compliance for trade agreements and WTO accession
- Issues related to global economic integration (i.e. market access, investment regimes and safeguards, intellectual property rights, transparency measures)
3. Private Sector experts
- Experience working with private sector to identify trade and legal bottlenecks to encourage private sector investment and growth
- Experience in working with the private sector to understand and adopt legal and regulatory reform

Qualifications
- Relevant university degree required, Masters or PhD a plus
- Experience working with USG agencies, Vietnamese government officials, private sector stakeholders, and/or other donors
- Work experience with multilateral institutions preferred (i.e., WTO, OIE, CODEX, ASEAN, APEC, or other relevant entities)
- Fluency in English - written and oral
