IT Consultant

Oxfam Quebec (OQ) is an international non-government organisation operating in  Vietnam since 1991. Its mission is to facilitate the poverty reduction, gender equality and capacity enhancement. OQ regional office in Hanoi is looking for competitive candidates for one (01) position of IT consultant. The main tasks of  the position are:

- Develop and maintain the IT infrastructure of the OQ office, including network systems  which includes 01 server with Oxfam-Québec, 22 active desktops, 08 laptops at OQ office (at 1st and 3rd Floor, 22 Le Dai Hanh, Ha Noi).
- Maintain the mail system, anti-virus and anti-spam protection, server backup/restore, etc.
- Provide consultant services, technical support, troubleshoot any computer-related issues at OQ office.
- Come to OQ office once a week to check system, do maintenance services and scan viruses.
- Present in emergency case (respond quickly ) within 2 hours upon “SOS – Call” from OQ administration and/or any OQ staff.
- Make a written report (1 page) per month to up-date on state of computers and recommendations, to OQ Regional Representative/ Country Manager as to what should be improved.

General requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent;
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT administration;
- Working knowledge of LAN, network security
- In-depth knowledge of the mail system, anti-virus, backup/recovery
- Good English speaking and writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience in similar work in NGOs
