Background
Population Services International (PSI) Vietnam is a social marketing organization that works to improve the health of poor and vulnerable populations in Vietnam.  PSI implements a comprehensive response to HIV prevention across seven target provinces (An Giang, Can Tho, Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City) in Vietnam.

In collaboration with Government and PEPFAR implementing partners, PSI’s program includes promotion of HIV related products (male and female condoms, water-based lubricants) and services (voluntary counseling and HIV testing) and targeted behavior change communication messages among most at-risk population groups, including sex workers and their male clients, injecting drug users, and men who have sex with men. 

PSI requires a long-term partner to build the capacity of its outreach staff and its partner’s staff to deliver HIV prevention messages to target populations. 

Objectives of training initiatives
Increase capacity of outreach staff to use tools and materials to deliver HIV prevention messages to target populations. 
Measure the impact of training exercises on the skills and knowledge of participants.

Specific Tasks
Work with PSI team to develop training curricula in accordance with a training brief.
Develop pre-test and post-test tools for the trainings.
Submit training reports after each training courses regarding to the process of trainings, analysis the results of training tests, feedback about logistic, capacity of IPC staff and recommendation to improve the quality of the next trainings.
Conduct the trainings at the sites according to the proposed schedule by PSI

Qualifications
A thorough understanding of adult learning principles
Experience designing training curricula and conducting training for peer educators and outreach workers
Experience working with high risk populations (IDUs, SWs, MSMs) preferred
Experience facilitating training workshops for groups of 30 participants
Experience training outreach staff to use interactive dialog skills and IPC tools
Experience training outreach staff in HIV prevention training
