In Vietnam, ActionAid operates in over 20 provinces in mountainous and remote regions, including urban areas of Ho Chi Minh City since 1989 in the fields of education, women’s rights, HIV/AIDS, governance and food rights.
ActionAid Vietnam (AAV) is seeking to recruit a well-qualified and experienced Vietnamese citizen for the following position:
HEAD OF SOUTHERN REGIONAL PROGRAMME:
The post is offered on an open-ended contract, based in Hochiminh office with frequent travel to the fields.
Job purpose summary: Provide effective leadership and ensure that AAV programs in Southern Vietnam are well planned, executed, monitored, evaluated and reported in accordance with the goals and objectives of Country Strategy Plan and other corporate documents.
Reports to: Programme Manager
The requirements:
- University degree on social science, economics or development studies, post-graduate is preferred.
- 5 years experience in management position in development sector, preferably in NGOs
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Sound knowledge on poverty reduction strategies/ plan and development issues
- Expertise on participatory methodologies and right-based approach
- Good networking and partnership building techniques
- Experience in report and proposal writing skills
- Good command of English
