Fundraising and Marketing Assistant

Education for Development (EFD) believes that education improves the quality of life for disadvantaged children and youth. EFD strengthens and empowers local social organisations enabling them to improve and expand their educational services for disadvantaged children and youth. Through their development, disadvantaged children can gain fair and equal access to education and training thereby developing themselves to their full potential.

The Fundraising and Marketing Assistant will be based in Ho Chi Minh City and will be working with and supporting our Development Advisor, to ensure the success and implementation of EFD’s Fundraising and Marketing Programs.

Main responsibilities:
Under the supervision and with guidance of the Development Advisor to prepare:
EFD’s Fundraising Strategic Plan and linked Annual Action Plans

To network and form strong relationships with potential donor partners, this includes:
- Ongoing liaison with potential donors including corporate business, institutions,    clubs/groups and individuals
- Identifying key areas of project focus of benefit to both EFD and partner organisations
- Arranging project visits for potential partner organisations
- Increasing public awareness of EFD work through cross media and through  potential partner publications, by published impact stories and articles and by hosting EFD information sessions

To assist in implementing the Fundraising and Marketing Program, this includes:
- Working closely with EFD’s team of local staff and volunteers to develop and implement individual fundraising activities
- Providing general support for marketing and fundraising activities including preparation of presentations and briefing materials for donor meetings
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of individual fundraising and marketing activities and identifying gaps and areas to strengthen
- Maintaining good working relationships with donor partners with strong focus on transparency and accurate reporting

Required qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in corporate liaison and institutional networking for donors
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Inspirational and creative thinker
- Excellent written and spoken English and Vietnamese
- Strong ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and in a team
- Excellent computer skills in standard word processing
