Administrative Intern
Oxfam-Québec is a Canadian NGO working in Viet Nam for the past 19 years. Oxfam-Quebec program in Vietnam ranges across sectors including rural development, anti-human trafficking, and business development services for MSMEs within the emerging non-governmental sector as well as mass organizations. It is committed to the development of civil society and the equality of women and also provides Canadian technical support through consultants and volunteers.
Oxfam-Québec offers internship programme for young graduates who are interested in and committed to development work. Selected interns whilst providing administrative support to the team can gain essential office skills, and take part in project activities as well as a number of learning opportunities. They will gain invaluable working experience that benefits their future employment. Internship contract is lasted for six months renewable.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting and translating letters and project documents
- Assist in preparation for meetings, trainings, workshops…
- Assist in ordering and replenishing office and stationery supplies
- General administration (back-up telephone and reception assistance as needed; filing documents, sending and circulating mail, fax and express packages; photocopying, maintaining adequate filing system, travel booking, assisting in monitoring staff timesheet and holiday schedule)
- Other duties as requested.
Expected Competencies:
- University degree, fresh graduate is preferred
- Good command of English, including interpretation and translation from Vietnamese to English and vice-versa
- Computer skills (Windows, WinWord, Excel)
- Vietnamese citizen. Priorities are given to women and men of ethnic minority groups.
