Accountant/Office Administration Associate

GTV, a non-profit humanitarian aid organization working to reduce poverty, inequality and injustice, and to promote sustainable development, is now searching for an accountant/office administration associate. Under the supervision of GTV programme manager, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating all office administrative duties while managing GTV Distant Adoption Programme.

The ideal candidate for this position is a highly organized self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-pace environment and eager to travel.

POSITION: Accountant/Office Administration Associate

Salary: DOE

Essential duties and responsibilities:
In relation to accounting:
- accounts payable and receivable
- budgetary work (all entries in the accounting system)
- financial statements.

In relation to office administration:
- all basic clerical duties
- make travel arrangements, schedule routine appointments
- maintain inventory and order office supplies
- contact appropriate service providers for basic maintance issues

In relation to GTV Distant Adoption Programme:
- all sponsorship-related activities
- translation services (Vietnamese-Italian)
- field trips to programme sites (Bac Giang Province).

The incumbent is also responsible for providing translating/interpreting services to the programme manager when requested. He/she communicates effectively and frequently with a variety of constituencies, including the Women Union, The People’s Committee, PACCOM and other national and international key-players.

Qualifications:
- bachelor degree in the area of finance, accounting or business or equivalent experience
- excellent knowledge of Vietnamese and English; very good knowledge of Italian (essential)
- excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- minimum of 2 years experience in accounting/administration
- computer literacy skills (MS Office package-excellent knowledge of Excel)
- demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks and deadlines efficiently
- excellent time management skills and ability to work as part of a team.
