Founded in August 2001 by the government of Quang Tri Province and international NGOs, Project RENEW is a cooperative program dedicated to addressing the two legacies of war – Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) and Agent Orange (AO) – remaining in the province since the war ended in 1975. Project RENEW now embraces major pillars of mine action, including UXO Survey and Clearance, Mine Risk Education and Victim Assistance, with the mission of making Quang Tri safe. VCED is operating under the responsibility of Colleague of Management for Agriculture and Rural Development II (CMARD 2), its project owner. This is co-managed by CMARD 2 and SOCODEVI, a Canadian non- government organization. The project office is located at 45 Dinh Tien Hoang Str, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
