The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is a scientific, nonprofit organization that sets standards for the identity, strength, quality, and purity of medicines, food ingredients, and dietary supplements manufactured, distributed, and consumed worldwide. The Promoting the Quality of Medicines (PQM) program, implemented by USP and funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), responds to the growing challenges posed by the proliferation of counterfeit and substandard medicines. By providing technical assistance to developing countries, PQM helps build local capacity in medicine quality assurance systems, increase the supply of quality medicines to priority USAID health programs, and ensure the quality and safety of medicines globally.

Sustainable Rural Development for the Poor (SRDP) Project in Ha Tinh is looking to recruit a consulting group to coordinate with project staff, provincial planning Steering Committee staff, District People’s Committees and relevant agencies to carry out the studies and formulate the district socio-economic development planning (SEDP) manual as well as hand over this process to relevant stakeholders in Ha Tinh province. Consultant’s tasks are considered complete as the guidelines on district socio-economic development planning are issued; training courses on handing over such process to relevant stakeholders are conducted and two SEDP versions of Vu Quang and Can Loc districts are finalized and adopted by District People’s Councils.
