Position title: Finance and HR manager and Education Officer
Main duty station: Cuc Phuong, Ninh Binh (100km away from Ha Noi)
Introduction of Save Vietnam’s Wildlife
Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) is a national Non-Profit Organisation in Vietnam that has grown from the Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation Program (CPCP) founded in 1995.
Save Vietnam’s Wildlife is committed to securing a future for wild populations of threatened wildlife in Vietnam through rescuing individual animals, protecting entire populations and ensuring secured habitats. We act to choose the best solutions, which have high conservation value, are scientifically sound and consider human needs, empowering people to take action.
Save Vietnam’s Wildlife is looking for two positions including a Finance and HR officer and a Education Officer
Duration: Permanence position
Expected starting date: as soon as possible
Salary: Base on your experience
Work place: Save Vietnam’s Wildlife, Cuc Phuong National Park, Nho Quan, Ninh Binh
Responsibilities of Finance and HR officer:
- Organization, management and operation the accounting department.
- Deal with local authorities and clients
- Provide finance reports to donors at the end of project and annually finance reports.
- Assist with development of project budgets and reports.
- Collect receipts and control budget spending.
- Working with management board to create the Save Vietnam’s Wildlife rules and regulations
- Support sub-recipients in preparing project budgets, financial reports, advance requests, and annual value added tax reports to ensure compliance with Save Vietnam’s Wildlife rules and regulations.
- Liabilities to pay, agency debt, advance, cash, bank deposits
- Assist administrative activities.
- Procure office supplies and consumables, and record inventories, maintain the office in a good operational condition
- Prepare and assist training courses, events and campaigns
- Focuses on recruitment of, management of, and providing direction for the people who work in the organization.
- Ensure all human resources are managed and dealt with appropriately and that human resource files and databases are maintained for all employees contracted to the centre.
- Ensure the employees contribute effectively and productively to the overall organisation direction and the accomplishment of the organization's goals and objectives
- Assist the permission, working papers and visa process
Responsibilities of Education officer
- Developing and managing raise awareness campaigns to improve understanding on SVW’s focal species, to reduce illegal hunting, trading and wild meat consumption.
- Conduct social survey to understand the public need
- Planning and managing training courses for rangers, students, animal keepers and young researchers
- Manage the education centre for carnivores and pangolins to ensure it is working effectively.
- Working with management board to raise funding for awareness campaigns and training courses
- Planning and managing the volunteers groups
- Maintain Save Vietnam’s Wildlife image/video database, website
- Update Save Vietnam’s Wildlife activity on social media networks
Requirement
- Must be Vietnamese
- University-level (bachelor level) qualification
- Fluency in both English and Vietnamese
- Experience to related fields
- Strong networking and advocacy skills
- Good organizational and reporting skills
- Ability to cope with pressure/meet deadlines
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel
