Consultant for SEL training for teachers in Lao Cai

Save the Children is seeking for an individual consultant for SEL training for teachers in Lao Cai. Details as below:

I. Scope of work:

The consultant is responsible for below tasks: 

• Use SC documents on safe school common approach for reference
• Check and support to adjust 02 documents (document for teacher and document for student) of safe school document with the language to be suitable with education area in Lao Cai
• Prepare content and facilitate the training on social emotional learning based on 02 SC documents
• Give online support for key teachers to prepare agenda and content for retraining course in 02 schools in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province

II. Experience and skill required:

1.Mandatory requirements:

• Having certification of children education, social emotional learning, Psychology
• Having Master degree of Education Psychology/Social Work or equivalent. 
• Having at least five-year experience in educational related field
• Having experience in supporting teachers in emotional education for children in school
• Having experience in emotional education for teacher and student
• Having experience in writing document related to personal emotional management 

2. Additional requirements:

• Be friendly, having creative teaching method
• Having experience in working with social organizations, intenational organizations
• Having experience and skills in working with adults
• Having good report writing and information analysis skills. 
• Having knowledge and experience in working with ethnic minority community in the North area. Priority experienced in working with children, children in secondary school and the characters of teachers and children in mountainous area
• Understanding of the cultural, political context in Vietnam
• Having the ability of working under high pressure
• Be Vietnamese and having good reading skill in English
