Consultancy Opportunities at WWF

Please be informed that WWF-Vietnam is seeking for consultancy to:

1. Conducting  Biodiversity – Environment Impact Assessment (BEIA), Participatory Social Impact Assessment (PSIA), Endangerous species researches to comply with ASC standard at Shrimp Farm at Bac Lieu province (The detailed TOR is attached herewith for your reference)

Objective of the assignment  The aim of this service is to full researches on BEIA, PSIA and endangered species in order to identify and ensure farms’ conditions matching with ASC requirements to be ASC audited by independent certifying bodies.

Expected qualifications of the consultants:

  • Consultant team should have related background in environment, biology, ecology, aquaculture, agriculture, Food technology or relevant subjects. Master degree for team leader in Ecology/Enviroment/biology
  • Minimum 3-years experience on technical consultant in aquaculture, particular in Shrimp/Panga standard. Successful consultancy for at least 2 farms (Shrimp/Panga) with ASC certified is preferred
  • Experience on consultant international standard Global GAP, ASC,… in aquaculture
  • Good at writing report and communication, understand local context

2. Conducting study on Updating endangered species distribution and conservation in the Mekong Delta (The detailed TOR is attached herewith for your reference)

Objective of the assignment :  to review and update biodiversity of endangered species in each province of the Mekong Delta to have data for better supporting pangasius producers in compliance with the requirement 2.2.4 (Evidence of negative impacts on endangered species) and 6.6.2 (Mortality of IUCN red listed species) of the pangasius aquaculture of ASC standards

Expected qualifications of the consultants:

  • At least Master degree with related backgrounds
  • Having at least 5-year experiences on biodiversity, conservation and environments.
  • Having experiences on researching species biodiversity preference or having relevant researches on species of IUCN red list.
  • Good communication skills, understanding the local language and context, good in English writing.
