Vacancies at WiPPA

The Centre for Women in Politics and Public Administration (WiPPA) is a government agency under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. The Center’s objective is to provide programmes and initiatives that advance gender equality in the public sector and particularly promote the increased representation of women in leadership positions. It will promote a model of leadership that takes into account historical biases against women and encourage women to attain their full potential as leaders. The center is tasked to offer training courses and capacity building activities for women and men that promote equality and sustainable development. It provides advices government bodies on policies and practices based on evidence-based research that advances women in their careers and motivates women to be leaders. WiPPA is mandated to build on the current understanding of the barriers women face in the political and government arena to support strategic research initiatives to provide evidence for effective advocacy and policy change.

Since 2014, UN Women in partnership with WiPPA has organized a number of learning activities to create a better understanding on gender responsive budgeting (GRB) in Viet Nam to key stakeholders, including government agencies and NGO network working on gender equality and budget equity. The Center is currently working on a number of activities related to gender responsible budgeting. Under the AWP between WiPPA and UN Women in 2016, WiPPA is developing a guidance book on gender responsive budgeting in Viet Nam.
