VACANCIES:     National and International Consultants for Export Development of specific Vietnamese products/services 

Within the Program “Decentralized Trade Support Services for Strengthening the International Competitiveness of Vietnamese SME’s” funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), VIETRADE is seeking to recruit 8 National Consultants for Export Promotion and Development of the following 8 products and services: Lycheees, Green tea, Pepper, Tuna, Pangasius, Fresh Fruits, Logistics services. It also seeks 7 International Consultants for the following 7 products and services: Lycheees, Green tea, Pepper, Tuna, Fresh Fruits, Logistics services.

These are part-time, locally contracted positions.

Period of Assignment: between May and December 2015

Duty station: Hanoi with frequent travel to selected provinces

The successful applicants will have the following minimum qualifications:

• Higher Degree in Agricultural Economics, International Trade, Business Administration or equivalent
• National consultants: at least 5 years experience in market research, marketing and international trade in the concerned sector
• International consultants: at least 10 years of relevant experience
• Good communication and teaching/coaching skills
• Very fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)
• Good report writing abilities

The job descriptions for these positions include some of the following duties:

• Auditing of SMEs on their export readiness
• Training/Coaching SMEs on the development of Export and Logistic Support Plans
• Product Development
• Advisory services on planning and participation in trade fairs (domestic or international)
• Advisory services on planning and participation in Export Market Prospection Missions 
• Advisory services on Sales Promotion and writing supporting material for product exports

In most cases, the National Consultants will guide and assist the International Consultants (recruited for a shorter period and to provide technical market-oriented leadership), and will follow up on their joint recommendations
