Inclusive Business Accelerator Vietnam is looking for a Marketing and Communication officer (re-advertisement)
Based in Hanoi, Vietnam with travel to other provinces
Inclusive Business Accelerator Vietnam (“IBA”) is the first one-stop shop in the country for various services needed by businesses which include low-income groups in their operations. We use innovative acceleration models to make the businesses investor-ready. Our scope of services include: Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification, Business Design & Readiness, and Investor – Investee Match-making.
There are two types of engagement with the IBA: 1/ IBA Acceleratee Program, a special service package for inclusive businesses with 9-12 months of time commitment; and 2/ IBA Non-Acceleratee Program, another package that offers tailored-made services upon request. We are interested in agribusiness, sustainable energy, water, and ICT innovations.
The IBA is managed by SNV in international partnership with BoP Innovation Center, Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), and Nyenrode Business University. SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market-based approaches, SNV is committed to creating positive social impact by catalyzing environmentally-sustainable solutions in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+.
We are seeking a highly-qualified candidate to fill in the position to support the IBA team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Marketing and Communications Strategy
- Prepare appropriate marketing materials to support marketing and communications plans
- Develop and manage websites (ibavietnam.com, iba.ventures), newsletter, as a main source of promotion, marketing, and dissemination
- Coordinate all the communication, dissemination and marketing actions and events to promote the project, communicate the results, findings and lessons arising from projects to key businesses and public sector audiences throughout Vietnam and promote the achievements of the project to all other stakeholders
- Assist the IBA team in preliminary assessment of and assistance to businesses that the IBA is working with
Candidate profile
- Marketing and communication degree or equivalent qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience; familiarity with innovative design is a plus
- Understanding of commercial business and low income markets
- Proactive and creative in solving problems
- Willingness to travel to project sites
- Strong ability to work independently, be hardworking and a team player
- Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Good computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Contract Duration: One-year employment contract with possibility of extension (subject to work performance)
Desired start date: As soon as possible
