Microfinance and Community Development Institute (MACDI) is a social –scientific Non-Government Organization. Our mission is every households of low income accessible to microfinance services for employment, income improvement, and realizing more investment in their children’s education as well as their better life. Our activities include: Microfinance, business development support, clean water & hygienic, environment, gender, education.

At present, MACDI is implementing programs relate to micro-finance, community development activities in North and center of Vietnam. MACDI invites competent Vietnamese candidates for these positions:

1. Education and Training Manager

Duty station: This position will be based in Hanoi office with travel to project sites.
Duration: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Institute and Project Manager, this person will be accountable for the development and implementation of training strategies, plans, and processes to support organizational and project goals. He/she will be responsible for all training programs (both domestic and international) and must ensure that there are two collaborative programs operating at all times: new hire training and recurrent training. Managing short courses and procjects related training programs simultaneously responsible for sales target of courses.

Qualifications Required:

  • MBA degree from an accredited college or University. Overseas graduates are prefered; atleast 3 years experience in training employee relations and courses.
  • Preferably having experience in Finance and Banking, business development and strategy;
  • Working knowledge of employee relations practices, including dispute resolution and investigation experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Strong presentation and public-speaking abilities
  • Strong verbal, listening, written communication skills required (both English and Vietnamese).
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
  • Depth of practical experience in both technical and non-technical training

2. Fund raising -external relationship officer

Duty station: This position will be based in Hanoi office with travel to project sites.
Duration: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone enthusiastic & dynamic to join the team. An important responsibility of this position is developing good relationships with macdi’ sponsors, and researching and establishing contacts with new potential donors. External relationship officer will be working with major companies and Foundations and with people at a senior level in those organizations. These will be both in Vietnam and in other countries around the world. You will therefore need to be confident and out-going, and have advanced English-language skills.

Other key tasks will include:

Fund raising- External relationship Officer is not only responsible for raising the funds necessary for operating our programs but also responsible for raising awareness of who we are and what we do, both in Vietnam and overseas.

Fund raising for Projects:

  • Researching and contacting with potential donor through emails, phone contacts, letters etc
  • Pursuing actively innovative ways of cooperation with donors for funding opportunities
  • Managing and cultivating relationship with donors, providing a consistent quality of response to donors.
  • Producing fundraising plans for each assigned project and write proposals/applications to potential donors and reports to sponsors during and after the implementation of the projects
  • Writing proposals to submit to
  • Participate in project’s activities when it is suitable.
  • Translate all documents of Activities Viet Nam-English in both ways
  • Marketing:
  • Contributing to the editing of donor brochures in conjunction with visits and events
  • Be responsible for managing MACDI’s marketing efforts, including creating and implementing new marketing and merchandising campaigns, and supporting the marketing and promotion of MACDI events and partnerships which will raise both funds and awareness.
  • Be responsible for all areas of Media, including traditional media as well as “new media”. This will include promoting MACDI through channels such as print and television as well as by using online forms of media such as our website and social networking tools.
  • Be responsible for managing MACDI’s magazine and website Translation
  • Translate documents into English and Vietnamese when it is necessary Assist Director of the Institute:
  • Be responsible for keep external relationship particularly with donors
  • Assist the director to all side of managing the institute and run projects
  • Do other works signed by the director.

Qualifications Required:

  • University degree in external relationship, Economic, Public Relations, Communications or external related area.
  • Must be very fluently English (particularly in writing)
  • Experience with fundraising experience is an advantage.
  • Good experience in event management.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute and manage his/her own work, to work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to attend to details.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to problems and negotiate with and influence others.
  • Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated skill in working with colleagues and collaborators of different cultural backgrounds.
  • Good command of English is an asset

3. Chief accountant

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and supervise the day by day activities in accounting department.
  • Prepare accounting manual including policies and procedures.
  • Implement and supervisor financial report and statutory report (Tax, Head Office)
  • Lead the annual planning exercise by liaising with management and cost center managers to produce expense forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor and analysis regularly the financial statement against approved budgets as well as providing inputs to management to control expenses.
  • Responsible for working with internal audit, external audit to issue audit report.
  • Prepare corporate income tax finalization and deal with tax supervisors.
  • Co-ordinate with other department, maintain good relationship with bank to utilize bank network.
  • Maintain and develop accounting system to be in line with company operation.
  • Update, training new regulation for the whole team (Tax, insurance…)

Qualification:

  • University degree
  • Chief Accountant Certificate
  • At least 5 years of related experience in finance and accounting and managerial level.
  • Experience in Management building accounting will be preferred.

Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of Excel /Word
  • Good knowledge of Vietnamese regulations and accounting standards
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems

Skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Work independently and good working relationship with other department
  • Knowledgeable about company policies and guidelines
