Community-Based Tourism (CBT) Network
The Vietnam Community-Based Tourism (CBT) Network was established in July 2007 by a group of NGOs, tourism operators and other interested parties to improve and expand the quality of CBT development as a means towards improving the livelihoods of the rural poor through CBT.
The Vietnam CBT Network will also function to support the development and exchange of information, improve the quality of CBT development, further raise the profile of CBT, and perform advocacy activities for CBT and the target groups of CBT development (typically rural, ethnic minority poor).
Poverty Policy Learning Group
The Poverty Policy Learning Group was initiated in June 1999 to provide a forum for international and local staff of NGOs and Social Development Organisations to interact, discuss and share ideas and information on general poverty issues and policies that relate to poverty.
Core members of the group participate in various fora between the Government of Viet Nam and the official donor community, including Participatory Poverty Assessments, the annual Consultative Group meetings, as well as the Poverty Working Group/Poverty Task Force.
