The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) shared experiences in ethnic and religious affairs towards tightening relations between the two countries’ Parties, States and peoples. During their talks in the Lao capital city of Vientiane on October 5, Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Le Ba Trinh and Vice President of the LFNC Central Committee Kenta Kongbounmy described ethnic and religious initiatives as important to each nation’s stability and development. They agreed to enhance the friendship between the two fronts in the time ahead and successfully implement the cooperative agreement they signed in Vientiane on November 24, 2011 for the 2011-2016 period. Kenta Kongbounmy said the meeting held special significance, taking place as Laos prepares for the 40 th National Day later this year and the two countries are making final preparations for their National Party Congresses early next year.
