Aide et Action International (AEAI) is an international NGO, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. AEA International began its programs in 1981 and is now working in more than 20 countries across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and China to support the development of sustainable education projects with our belief in the universal right to a quality education. Each AEAI intervention is based around this ethos.
In Vietnam, AEA started working in 2003. Our approaches focus on early transformation during two time periods which are most critical in a child’s schooling, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) to basic education. Over 10 years of experiences along with local communities, partner organizations, and governments, we have implemented a number of projects in various locations.
In order to effectively support communication and provide the community with project information through newsletters, communicational articles, it is essential that AEA staff and partners should be equipped with writing skills.
With such purpose, we are currently seeking for an enthusiastic, experienced trainer who can provide training on writing stories based on what actually happens in the project areas for AEA staff and partners.
1. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide techniques and guidelines on how to professionally write articles which can get attention from readers and fit the proposed purposes using appropriate language of development field
- Provide basic training on choosing topics and developing stories which best reflect the reality in the project areas
- Advise trainees during practices lessons in order to help them apply knowledge into practices and develop their writing skills
2. Duty Station and Timeline
The one-day training workshop will take place in Hanoi in early August. The trainer is required to prepare and design the training which can be effectively conducted during the timeframe of one day
3. Key Qualifications
The consultant is expected to have:
- At least five years of experience in communication work, proficient in writing with strong evidences of articles which have been publicized
- Experienced in conducting writing training for beginners
- Good skills of a facilitator and using interactive approaches for training
- Experience in working with development projects and community
