Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is the economic representation of the Flemish Region of Belgium abroad. The main task of Flanders Investment & Trade is to support Flemish companies exporting to Vietnam and Vietnam-based companies seeking to locate in Flanders.
About the project
Mid-September we are receiving a high-level business delegation led by the Minister-President of Flanders. We will organise seminars and arrange bespoke B2B meetings for the participating companies.
Job description
Flanders Investment & Trade is looking for an assistant to the Head of Office (M/F) for its office in Hanoi for 3 months. We‘re looking for a reliable, hands-on colleague who wants to be part of our team from June onwards.
Main tasks
- Assisting the Trade & Investment Counsellor in daily business operations.
- Identifying companies and contact details of Vietnamese companies that can partner up with Belgian companies.
- Arranging and scheduling B2B meetings.
- Providing support to the team in the practical organisation of the various events during the mission.
- Reporting to the Trade & Investment Counsellor.
- Undertaking other duties as assigned.
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate from an university, ideally specialised in economics or trade.
- Very good command of written and spoken Vietnamese and English (will have to report back in English).
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft environment and applications (MS Office, CRM Dynamics,...)
- Ability to manage the required tasks, schedule appointments and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, conscientious and willingness to learn.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Working experiences in international organiations/companies.
