The GIZ Energy Support Programme (ESP) is working with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) on the development of the energy sector in Vietnam. The programme is mainly funded by the German Government and focuses on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
The Energy Support Program (ESP) requires a qualified local professional for the position of:
PR & Communications Officer (ESP)
Duty Station: Hanoi, Vietnam
Duration: 2 years contract with possible extension
With the overall aim to support the Government of Vietnam in the further development of its Energy Sector, the PR & Communications Officer will support the GIZ Energy Support Programme in the following areas:
- Development of communication strategy and work plan for its implementation
- Communication on GIZ Energy Support Program and activities
- Corporate branding
- Media Networking and Cooperation
- Public relations management for events, conferences, interviews etc.
- Knowledge management
- Other duties and tasks at the request of the Programme Management
Minimum requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s (Master’s degree is an asset) in Communications or related field
- At least 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience in communication either in a communication department of a large company or in an PR/Communication agency
- A minimum of 6 months abroad, either by way of work experience or university studies
- Language skills: Vietnamese as a mother tongue; fluency in English (minimum of 600 points in TOEFL); German language proficiency is an asset
- Excellent command of MS-Office and, in particular, professional communications software
- Professional experience in the use of social media
- Excellent writing style both in Vietnamese and English
- High degree of flexibility and dynamic work ethic
- Autonomy / Self-Management
- Results-oriented
- Team spirit, while at the same time possessing the necessary assertiveness to produce good results
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel on short trips, at least within Viet Nam
- Existing active network in Vietnamese media is an asset
