ANNOUNCEMENT: Invitation for experts to build a business model which is linked with Lai Sind cow breeding model rendered by VSAPAT
Climate change did start to occur, and it will keep occuring, as well as leaving prolonged and profound impactes on every country. Vietnam ranks among the countries that endure the most serious influences of climate change. Present and potential loss caused by natural disasters and climate change are more and more serious. This requires Vietnam’s enterprises, agricultural cooperatives to take interest in coping with risks of natural disasters and climate change that may happen to their own business.
VSAPAT is seeking for Vietnamese consulting experts, who will support the establishment of VSAPAT’s business model. The model is linked with farmers’ husbandry models in coping actively with weather and climate change. The model will include local available material sources that are suitable with breeding habits and customs of local farmers.
A. Scope of work
- Work # 1: Based on the information provided by VSAPAT, the experts will work closely with VSAPAT to:
- Building a business model linked with the farmers’ supply chain model. The model takes into account the generalized method of collecting initial investment for the farmers.
- Surveying, assessing and determining a farming household business model, including initial investment, business scale based on the number of laborers, farming households’ income sources, as well as methods that help farmers to adapt and become active in responding to climate change.
- Work # 2: Based on the enterprise business model and farming household business model, unify and compose documents into a set of procedures of VSAPAT, and instruct VSAPAT’s staff to reuse it as well.
B.Desired results
- 01 document for practice: Consisting of the combination between business model of VSAPAT and that of farming households.
- Introducing and instructing VSAPAT how to use it.
C.Methods and working time
The experts will work and report to VSAPAT. During the work, the experts will join meetings with Spark to establish “A business model that actively copes with natural disasters and climate change” of VSAPAT only.
Time for consultation will be from January 2016 till March 2016
D.Requirements for consulting experts
- Experienced in consulting the establishment of business models and value chains in agricultural production
- Knowledgeable professionally about husbandry with climate conditions of Northern Viet Nam
- Able to connect expert resources or other social resources in consulting works about farming household business models in mountainous areas of Northern Viet Nam
