The International Executive Service Corps (www.iesc.org [1]) implements the USAID funded LinkSME project [2] to improve the performance of SMEs and integrate them into lead-firm supply chains.
In its efforts to facilitate linkages between SMEs and lead firms, USAID LinkSME, in cooperation with business support organizations in different sectors, is providing capacity building measures and intensive technical assistance to Vietnamese SMEs to help them meet with increasing demand and requirements from lead firms globally. Among the capacity gaps identified through conducted pre-evaluation and audit missions, Statistical process control (SPC) is one of the pressing areas that many SMEs need supports for improvement in order to fully understand how to implement this properly for quality control.
USAID LinkSME is seeking one Vietnamese consultant to deliver assistance to SMEs through a one-day training on SPC to help SMEs understand the concepts and how to implement it better. The goal of this effort is (1) to raise awareness to a group of SMEs on SPC via the training course and (2) to consult on and potentially support the next steps in SPC implementation until it is successfully executed.
