Nordic Assistance to Vietnam (NAV) has been working in Vietnam since 1994 – but until 2013 under the name Norwegian Church Aid - Vietnam (NCA VN) with the main office in Hue. The main thematic focus of NCA VN is on Climate Change and Health, and with an emphasis on mobilizing the response capacity of the key faith-based actors in the country; the Buddhist and Catholic networks.
NCA VN is strengthening our Hanoi office, and is now looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated individual working as Communication and Program Officer based in Hanoi to take on the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective strategy for external communication of NCA VN
- Follow-up NCA VN partners and ensure the proper management of projects and programmes
- Coordinate and contribute in the production of NCA VN publications and documentation material
- Assist and contribute in NCA VN fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of development work and international NGOs (Non -Governmental Organisations). He/She must have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage differing agendas and coordinate effective team working. Planning and organizational skills are essential in order to manage complex schedules and achieve deadlines, as is the ability to innovate. We are looking for a strong team player with an aptitude for leadership and creativity in finding and implementing solutions in diverse circumstances.

- Experience from international development/humanitarian work
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Experience from working with Faith Based organization is an asset
- Experience from work on issues related to climate change is an advantage
