Dear RWSSP's and network,

The RWSS National Target Program 2006-2010 (NTP II), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development now has demand for applied research/study on rural water supply and sanitation. Quality and effective proposals/projects will be selected for implementation through financial support of Governments of Denmark and Australia. The Standing Office for NTP II would hereby call interested institutions/individuals to make proposals.

Pls find detail in the attached the research fund advertisement.

I received this news from Ms. Le, SO so I just translate and ask for your addition for this news as it doesn't look good.

Progress of 6 month implementation of NTP II

The RWSS NTP II target for 2009 is to increase water supply and sanitation coverage by 5% and after the first 6 months 26% of the planned budget (1,428 bn of 5,687 bn VND) has been spent of which 338 bn VND has been spent at the central level.  These figures have been compiled by the SO and are based on (uncompleted) reports from ministries and provinces. 

 

With the target to achieve the water supply and sanitation coverage of 5% in comparison to 2008, the NTP II SO consolidated the data on NTP II implementation progress for 1st 6 months of 2009 based on the uncomleted reports from ministries and provinces. According to the reports, till 30/6/2009, the disbursement rate is 26% of the planned budget (1,428 bil VND/5,687 bil. VND), of which the central budget disbursement is 338 bil VND.

Kết quả thực hiện Chương trình Chương trình Mục tiêu quốc gia (MTQG) Nước sạch và Vệ sinh môi trường nông thôn (NS&VSMTNT) giai đoạn 2006 – 2010 6 tháng đấu năm 2009

Với mục tiêu phấn đấu tăng tỷ lệ dân có nước hợp vệ sinh tăng 5% so với năm 2008 và tỷ lệ hộ gia đình có nhà tiêu hợp vệ sinh tăng 5% so với năm 2008, Văn phòng thường trực Chương trình MTQG Nước sạch & VSMTNT đã tổng hợp số liệu về tình hình thực hiện Chương trình trong 6 tháng đầu năm 2009 dựa trên các báo cáo chưa đầy đủ của các Bộ, Ngành và địa phương. Báo cáo có nêu rõ tính đến 30/6/2009, CT MTQG đã giải ngân được khoảng 26% so với kế hoạch (1.428 tỷ đồng/5.687 tỷ đồng), trong đó nguồn vốn do Trung ương hỗ trợ đã giải ngân được 338 tỷ đồng.
