INVITATION 

TO THE MEETING TO CONTRIBUTE TO DRAFT OF 

Decree No.2009/ND- CP on Sanctioning administrative violations 
on HIV/AIDS prevention and control
 

Law and HIV working group members include UN agencies, INGOs and LNGOs working in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and control in Vietnam. The group is working to share information and coordinate activities relating to the implementation of the Law on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and contribute the comments for drafts of legal documents in the field of HIV/AIDS- related legal. The Center for Consulting on Legal and Policy on Health, HIV/AIDS chairs the network.

 

Ministry of Health is drafting a Decree No..2009/ND- CP on Sanctioning administrative violations on HIV/AIDS prevention and control. It's a very important document of the Government to protect rights of people living with HIV and people affected by HIV/AIDS, especially children living with HIV and children affected by HIV/AIDS, combating stigma and discrimination against children living with HIV or affected by HIV/AIDS. So we would like to hold: "Consultative meeting to get comments and inputs for Decree No.2009/ND- CP on Sanctioning administrative violations on HIV/AIDS prevention and control". 
 

Objectives of the meeting:

-       Promote the activities to participate and contribute in process of making legal documents of members of law and HIV working group. 

-       Support the cooperation between members of law and HIV working group with the policy makers in the field of building HIV/AIDS- related legal documents.

-       In the meeting, the content of the draft will be presented by representative of the Draft of Decree Committee, Ministry of Health to help members of law and HIV working group understanding clearly about provisions in the draft. And members of law and HIV working group can directly contribute ideas to perfect the draft to the policy makers.

 

Time of the meeting: From 14h00 to 16h00 on November 30th, 2009

Place: Meeting room of UNICEF at 81A Tran Quoc Toan, Hanoi
