International NGO comments on the draft 5-Year Plan
On 25 August 2005, the Resource Centre organised an informal INGO consultation on the draft Socio-Economic Development Plan 2006-2010. More than 60 INGO participants joined the meeting.
Following the meeting, INGO contributions were combined to prepare in written comments for the Ministry of Planning and Investment. These were shared at the national consultation workshop on the SEDP on 7-8 September 2005 in Hanoi, organised by the MPI and World Bank.

INGOs are contributing to the drafting of the SEDP in the following ways:
- Grassroots consultations with selected local communities during July/August 2005
- Organisation of an INGO consultation meeting, linked to the preparation of a general INGO written input to the drafting process. The consultation meeting was held on 25 August 2005 in Hanoi
- Participation in a National consultation workshop organised by MPI and the World Bank on 7-8 September 2005 in Hanoi
- Support to Ministries and Provinces in the preparation of their 5-year plans, including incorporation of the Comprehensive Poverty Reduction and Growth Strategy (CPRGS)
