Vietnam Quang Nam Farmer Killed After Finding Bomb

A 45-year-old farmer living in central province of Quang Nam's Tam Xuan Commune was killed over the weekend by an exploding fragmentation bomb. While returning home from work, the man reportedly found the bomb at the construction site of the Danang central city-Quang Ngai Province Expressway. Officials said the man brought the bomb home, where he attempted to strip it down. However, he did not have knowledge about bombs and, apparently, the bomb struck the floor and exploded. Witnesses reported that glass windows and the tiled roof were damaged. The Tam Xuan Commune People's Committee reports that local authorities, in co-ordination with the victim's family, held a burial service for the man. (Vietnam News May 18)
