U.S. Bombs Defused in Yen Bai Province

Military personnel in the northern province of Yen Bai successfully defused two bombs in Van Yen District on April 16. The bombs, weighing 450kg and 340kg, are believed to have been dropped by U.S. troops between 1968 and 1970. They were discovered last month by a group of workers who were expanding a provincial road in Lam Giang Commune and a local family while they were digging land to build foundations for their house in Dong Cuong Commune.
