UN WOMEN Call for Proposals 2015 - Fund for Gender Equality

UN Women is pleased to announce the 3rd Call for Proposals of the Fund for Gender Equality.

In commemoration of International Women's Day, the Fund's online application system will be open for submissions from 9 March to 5 April 2015. Interested national and regional women-led organizations will be able to apply in five languages (English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian), in line with our commitment to increase accessibility of the Call.

Prioritizing Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in the Post-2015 Development Agenda

This year the Fund will welcome online proposal submissions from women-led Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that are  innovative, high-impact, and multi-stakeholder women’s rights’ and gender equality programmes that help jumpstart progress on the Post-2015 Development Agenda with a focus on women’s economic and political empowerment.

As UN Member States move closer to adopting a new framework of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in September 2015, the Fund for Gender Equality launches its 3rd global Call for Proposals to support women-led CSOs in their efforts to frontload the implementation of gender equality commitments on the ground.

Since 2009 the Fund has awarded over US$ 56 million to fund 96 programmes in 72 countries.
