Over 400 Participants Trained in Mine Clearance for Vietnam-S. Korea Project

A comprehensive mine clearance training session for the Korea - Vietnam Peace Village Project concluded in Hanoi on April 28, providing specialized skills related to over 400 lecturers and students.

Organized by Vietnam National Mine Action Center, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the training focused on mine-related issues in the central provinces of Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Thua Thien-Hue.

Participants gained expertise in mine clearance, data management, and financial administration to ensure project success.

The three-year project, funded by South Korea through KOICA and supported by UNDP, aims to carry out the technical survey of 15,000 hectares and clean about 6,000 hectares of areas contaminated with bombs, mines, and explosives in the three localities, serving sustainable rural construction and local socio-economic development.
