Exhibition on AO/Dioxin Victims Opens in Ha Long

An information exhibition on AO/Dioxin opened at Quang Ninh museum on July 21 marking the 54th anniversary of AO disaster and day to remember AO victims in Vietnam. The event running through August 14 also showcased handicraft products made by AO victims. VAVA President Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh explained that the exhibition helps raise public awareness regarding AO disaster in Vietnam and the Party, State and peoples efforts to deal with the consequences of chemical warfare. Organizations and individuals are encouraged to care for AO victims and to join hands to support the struggle for justice for AO victims. On the occasion, the VAVA presented 20 gifts and 10 wheelchairs to the second generation of AO victims in Quang Ninh, and VND100 million to the provincial VAVA chapter’s fund. (vov.vn July 21)
