The 2014 Economic Empowerment Fellows Program

Centre for Community Empowerment (CECEM) and the Mansfield Center of The University of Montana seeks professional applicants for Economic Empowerment (EE) Fellow Program sponsored by the U.S. Embassy.  The Economic Empowerment Program focuses on expanding economic opportunity to broader society, with the goals of increasing incomes and reducing poverty.

During the five-week program in the United States, either in Spring or Autumn 2014, participants will gain firsthand knowledge about employment and economic activity, while also participating in site visits and specially-designed seminars.  An important part of the program is a fellowship.  Participants will be matched with a similar organization in Montana and work with an American counterpart for two-to-three weeks.  Participants will spend one month in the state of Montana and one week in Washington, D.C.For more detail information, pls. visit the program’s website:http://umt.edu/mansfield/EconomicEmpowermentProject/default.aspx.

We are looking for mid-level participants (aged from 25-40) that represent business, NGOs, governmental organizations, and educational institutions, workingon issues related to economic empowerment; from both rural and urban areas; demonstrate English language fluency, with little or no prior experience in the United States or elsewhere outside Vietnam.

The deadline for receipt of applications is December 15, 2013. Late applications will not be accepted. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview.
