Volunteer Interpreters

World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization working to improve the quality of life of people, especially children, who are marginalized and living in poverty. World Vision helps all who are in need regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or gender.

World Vision has been present in Vietnam since 1990 and has invested over 220 million US dollars in relief and development projects in 15 provinces cross the country.

World Vision Vietnam (WVV) is partnering with the University of HongKong for a joint project in Tien Lu Area Development Program, Hung Yen province. As part of this collaboration, a group of students from the university will visit Tien Lu ADP to participate in needs assessment and toilet construction for a secondary school, Tien Lu district, Hung Yen province.

WVV is currently looking for 04 volunteer Interpreters. Below is the related information.

Deadline for application: 5 pm, 8 May 2015

1. Job summary: Work as interpreter and translator to assist the group of students of HongKong University when they are working in Tien Lu district, Hung Yen province.
2. Working station: Hanoi and Tien Lu district, Hung Yen Province.
3. Duration:     1st period: June 15 – July 10
2nd period: July 20 – 23
4. Allowances: Accommodation, transportation, and food allowances as well as personal accident insurance are provided to support the volunteers to perform the task.
5. Requirements:

• Good command of English, particularly speaking skill
• Good inter-personal and communications skills
• Good team player
• Demonstrated sense of discipline and punctuality
• Have cross cultural sensitivity
• Humility, respect, and care for others – especially the vulnerable children
• World Vision Vietnam is a Christian humanitarian organization. Applicants having working experience in a similar kind of organization will be an advantage.
