KOTO - Know one, teach one.- is a nonprofit social enterprise transforming the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged youth in Vietnam through its holistic hospitality training program.

As a leading nonprofit social enterprise, KOTO operates Training Restaurants to serve as a practical platform of experience for the trainees in order to better prepare them for the workplace along with providing KOTO with added income that is re-invested back in to support the welfare and training of the trainees.

1. HR EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations and Payroll: Execute the day to day operations regarding the correct implementation of monthly payroll, employee conditions and legislative requirements
  • Recruitment and Retention: To respond to the organisation’s needs by administering recruitment and selection processes, implementing strategies in order to grow and maintain an effective workforce. To execute retention strategies to ensure the health and longevity of the KOTO Hanoi workforce.
  • Performance Management: At the discretion of management, utilise KOTO performance management systems to identify developmental needs and ensure company expectations are met and objectives are achieved
  • Policies, Procedures and standards: Undertake responsibility to uphold and promote all KOTO policies, procedures and standards
  • Training and Development: Assist HR Manager in identifying training needs and implementing training initiatives
  • Motivation and Incentives: Implement incentive models and motivational programmes as directed, in order to engage and retain staff, maintain morale and contribute to positive organisational outcomes
  • Culture: Ensuring all tasks, projects, events and actions positively contribute to the KOTO culture. Champion and uphold the KOTO culture.
  • Self: Managing self to maximise results

Well developed technical skills in the following areas:

  • Understanding the application of Vietnam labour law
  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese
  • Communication (written & verbal)
  • Planning, organising and prioritising

2. SALES EXECUTIVE

Main responsibilities:

  • Identifies the opportunities, plans and implements the strategy of brand development for KOTO, maintains fundraising activities to meet the KPI of department.
  • Operates all the events taking place in Ho Chi Minh City
  • Supports the manager to make detailed plans for marketing activities to raise profit
  • Builds marketing and sales staff at Ho Chi Minh City and participates in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Makes plans and implements international fundraising activities and international business development projects.
  • Establishes contact and develops relationships with prospective clients and business partners, consistent with the strategy and objectives of the KOTO
  • Prepares the candidate profile on the awards for KOTO and the founder.
  • Conducts market surveys and competitive rivals at least 2 times a year to support strategic and operational marketing plans
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information.

3. ENGLISH TEACHER

Main responsibilities:

  • Makes lesson plans, and teaches according to the frame of the program for hospitality service and syllabus of the training centre.
  • Applies flexible teaching methods, experience activities, maximum time interacting with foreigners in order to achieve the lesson’s target.
  • Enhances the learning outcomes assessment
  • Gives regular feedback about the learning English process of trainees, and reports trainees’performances for Training manager.
  • Works closely with the supervisors and the staffs at the restaurant at least 4 hours per week to observe and assess trainees’working and practicing capacity.
  • Implements additional training sessions, tutors, and teaches as the request.
  • Maintains the schedule and supports volunteers in every activity.
  • Works well with volunteers to build and develop necessary skills for every subject.
  • Reviews and gives feedback about the effect of volunteers’performance for Training manager.
  • Being a homeroom teacher

Qualifications/Experience

  • College/ University English Language Teaching Degree
  • Experience in English teaching area
  • There is the International English Certificate of IELTS 6.0 or above (or equivalent)
  • TAELLN411 Address Adult, Literacy and numeracy is preferred.
  • TESOL or CELTA certificates are preferred.
  • Certificate in TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills

4. LIFE SKILLS TEACHER

Main responsibilities:

  • Makes lesson plans, and teaches according to the frame of the program for life values, life skills and self development.
  • Builds syllabus which is maximum experimental activities with high practicality to help trainees enhance the adaptive capacity and respect the multicultural environment.
  • Teach life skills and life values for trainees according to the schedule each week.
  • Supports trainees in each class and makes plans and implements projects (such as: green project, clubs,…)
  • Tutors, counsels and supports trainees through the talk, psychological counseling and spiritual health.
  • Contacts the guests according to the special subjects, topics to enhance trainees’communication skills and confidence.
  • Maintains good relationships with the partners, the guests and the volunteers to establish oppotunities for the special topics.
  • Gives regular feedback about the learning process of trainees, reports trainees’performances to the Training manager, and gives solutions.
  • Collaborates with Trainee and Alumni Service’s staff, nurses, house mothers, and other department’s staff to support the teaching, know trainees’ physical and spiritual health to give timely feedback.
  • Measures results from activities and positive feedback from trainees, and reports to the direct manager the trainees performance levels, which should be at the level of 85% and above after each semester.
  • Works closely with the supervisors and the staff at the restaurant, at least 4 hours per week to observe and assess trainees’working and practicing capacity.
  • Tracks the cost of the projects and ensures the expenses are allocated according to the schedule, activities
  • Being a homeroom teacher
