At present, Vietnam Country Office has programs in 20 out of 63 provinces in Vietnam.

We are looking for consultancy services for:

  • Vacancy: Senior Project Officer
  • Based in Ho Chi Minh

Main Responsibilities: The BOTNAR Senior Project Officer (SPO) will work with Tien Giang Trafic Safety Committee to implement Botnar/GRSP funded project on road safety for children. He/she should hold self accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modelling Save the Children values, hold the team and partners accountable to deliver on their responsibilities - giving them the freedom to deliver in the best way they see fit, provide the necessary development to improve performance and applying appropriate consequences when results are not achieved.

Key Competencies:

Essential

  • University degree in social sciences or related field;
  • Have at least 3-5 years experience working in the development areas in general, road safety education among and school health and education in particular;
  • Ability to learn quickly and respond to multiple demands;
  • Positive attitude to working with children in schools, parents, school and community leaders;
  • Experience working in schools with school management and students;
  • Knowledge of child participation, child right governance is a plus;
  • Knowledge of construction work at school setting is an asset;
  • Good project management, communication and capacity building skills;
  • Solid understanding of the Vietnamese government system;
  • Good at English speaking and writing.

Desirable

  • Experience of managing sub-grants;
  • Experiences in working with education projects.
