PSI currently seeks a talented individual to work with our dynamic team in Hanoi as 6-months Consultant for the position described below:
Position: RESEARCH COORDINATOR
Report to: Strategic Information (SI) Manager

Job purposes: The Consultant together with SI Manager will be responsible for development of research design, research tools and instruments, selection and working with local research partners on data collection, data analysis and conducting dissemination (including internal and external dissemination to donors, government partners and stakeholders). He/she will work under the SI Manager for a range of different research studies for program development, monitoring and evaluation. This position is also responsible for leading and managing studies actively.

Major duties:
• Play a lead role in the development and implementation of key research activities, including behavioral surveys, and qualitative research.
• Conduct other research activities and improve use and availability of secondary research resources, networking with relevant agencies, and overseeing secondary data analyses as necessary
• Support SI Manager to ensure that field activities are managed including data collection, entry and ensuring quality control over study design, field implementation
• Work closely with other departments to increase the use of research for evidence based decision-making, and will closely participate in program design, implementation, and evaluation
• Support the collection, analysis and use of quality M&E data and improve coordination of various evidence-bases generated within and outside of PSI/Vietnam.
• Raise the profile of PSI/Vietnam research internally and externally by leading on research dissemination efforts including report dissemination.

Selection criteria
• University/Master’s Degree in public health, social science or other related field.
• Demonstrated experience in research activities including study design, development of research tools, data collection management, data processing & analysis, and report writing.
• Strong knowledge and experience in qualitative is a must.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
• Work experience with NGOs/INGOs is an added advantage.
