Project Officer: Micro Insurance, Micro Credit and Economic Analysis

Economica Vietnam is a private sector consulting firm based in Hanoi. Its main areas of work include economic research, policy analysis, development consulting, business consulting, project management. The firm’s field of practice are  private sector development, SME development, micro finance, microfinance, local economic development, regulatory reform, and economic governance. The firm is looking for qualified candidates for the position of project officer for its on-going and forthcoming projects, especially in the  field of microinsurance, microcredit, lending to private sector SME, and sector competitiveness.

Job title:  Project officer in micro-insurance, micro finance and economic analysis
Job type: Full time staff or long-term/short-term consultant. The incumbent is kindly requested to indicate the job type he/she prefers.

Job description:
- Design and implement researches, studies.
- Support to implementation of research projects
- Implement projects which the firms are implementing (in baseline studies, micro-insurance, microfinance, SME development.)
- Present at workshops and seminars.
- Delivery training
- Prepare and provide inputs to consultants/ researchers (international and national).
- Contribute to tender documents, proposal for research and consulting work.
- Coordinate research and consulting projects,
- Contribute to PR and communication work of the firm.
- Acting as interpreter when required.

Job Requirement:
- Strong command of written and spoken Vietnamese and English.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (in one of the following fields: banking, finance, economics, business administration, or other relevant fields)
- Excellent quantitative/analytical skills.  Knowledge of econometrics and statistics is an asset.
- Strong writing skills (in both English and Vietnamese).
- At least four years of working experience. Experience in working in research institutions or in international organizations is an asset.
- Strong commitment to accuracy, quality of work and best services to clients.
- Self-disciplined, honest and diligent.
