Introduction Environment and Development Action in Viet Nam (endaVietnam) is the Vietnamese antenna of enda Tiers Monde, operating in different provinces/cities in Viet Nam since 1995. Enda Vietnam works with the poor in urban areas with focusing on community savings, slum upgrading, community-based solid waste system management, environment awareness, housing for low- income people, network of communities and cities. The current project areas are Hanoi, Da Nang, QuyNhon, Ha Tinh, Kon Tum and Ho Chi Minh City. Enda Vietnam is currently implemented the project “Towards social protection and inclusion of informal waste pickers and recyclers“ in HCMC.

Together with the provincial initiatives on tourism development, the ILO is addressing this challenge through the “Strengthening of Inland tourism in Quang Nam Project”, from May 2010 to December 2013. The overall aim of the project is to utilize Quang Nam’s tourism sector as a driver for poverty reduction in the province, especially for individuals (primarily, but not exclusively women and youth) from disadvantaged regions of the province.
A Senior Project Officer is sought to work in the project for initially 12 months. The position is based in the project office in Quang Nam province, requiring regular travel to project districts. The current phase ends in December 2013, but a second phase is planned.
