During its long term growth in Vietnam, expertise of the technical assistants, the profound knowledge of rural context and local regulations, capacity of coordination of projects, experience of Gret in publication of references have been strength of Gret in Vietnam.

Job description:

The project officer will work 50% time for Phu Nu project and 50% time for others activities of Gret in Vietnam:

1.Phu Nu project (50% time): based in Hanoi with frequent travel to the Vinh Phuc province (The project aimsat improving the living conditions and social inclusion of women in the formal and informal sector working in the two industrial zones of Hai Duong and Vinh Phuc).

  • Provide guidance and support to the Vinh Phuc Woman Union (project partner) in planning and implementing activities; and in monitoring and reportingin accordance with the funder’s and partner’s policies, administrative and financial procedures and the project documents and work plans.
  • Support the Vinh Phuc Woman Union in establishing and animating the female migrant workers clubs.
  • Support the Vinh Phuc Woman Union to establish and animate the working group (with companies’ representatives, landlords and local authorities)with the aim to provide better service for female migrant workers
  • Identify training needs and organise training workshops and meetings or seminar for the local partners, working groups and female migrant workers to reinforce their professional and personal capabilities.
  • To actively participate to the coordination committee meetings of the project with the partners organizations and the steering committee
  • To participate in the production of training and media support, and raising awareness/communication tools.
  • Contribute to the development of strong relations with partner organisation, local authorities and other stakeholder in the province
  • Participate in the monitoring on project advancement, through 1) the redaction of quarterly reports of activities 2) The monitoring of indicators
  • Support administrative activities (such as the good legal recording of the project notably)
  • Collect bills and all relevant documents to ensure that the financial monitoring of Gret activities is made possible,
  • Produce timely and high quality reports.
  • Other responsibilities as directed by Project Manager.

2.Other activities of Gret in Vietnam(50% time)

  • Develop the new activities / project
  • Carry out of diagnostic, study missions or other short term services of consultancy
  • Develop the partner network   
  • Participate to fund raising activities
  • Participate to the activities of communication / capitalisation or publication 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree on social background or any related field (project management or communication),
  • Minimum of 5 yearsof working experiencein NGO project implementation.
  • Experience of working in multi-cultural environment is an advantage,
  • Able to pre-empt and organise the work proactively,
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office 2007, Outlook...),
  • Good interpersonal, planning, time management and coordination skills,
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and use as well your own initiative,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Excellent English skills (fluency in French is an asset),
  • Ability to deal with people with diplomacy,
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work for a non-profit organisation.

Contract period: 2-year contract starting as soon as possible.
