Project Manager; Project Coordinator

Foundation for International Development / Relief (FIDR) is a Japanese non-profit organization established in 1990 in Japan. In Vietnam, FIDR has implemented Community Development Projects (CDP) in Danang city, Quang Nam province since 1998 and Kon Tum Province since 2011. FIDR is now seeking qualified Vietnamese nationals for the position of Project Manager (PM) and Project Coordinator (PC) for its projects.

1.Project Manager

PM is responsible for the overall management of the project based on mission and strategy of FIDR, including the supervision, consultation and technical support over project staff, stakeholders and related organizations.

Main responsibilities

- Be responsible for project management of CDP in Quang Nam province in close cooperation with local government, partners and people.
- Carry out project designing, management, coordination and implementation of the CDP activities.
- Build local capacity and project team members for project management.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on project activities and financial spending
- Report to Country Representative of FIDR Vietnam and FIDR headquarter.

Qualification

- University degree in CDP and post graduate degree is preferred
- At least 2 years of proven working experience as a PM of CDP and more than 5 years working experience on community development project
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate well, even on sensitive and difficult topics with government officers as well as communities
- Fluent in spoken and writing English
- Very good computer (MS-Excel, Word, etc.) and data analysis skills
- Experienced with project design, implementation, including baseline surveys and M & E and report writing skills
- Familiar with writing report and training materials
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team. Supervisory experience is a necessity
- Strong understanding of key aspects of community-led development work
- Ability to travel and work at remote areas

2.Project Coordinator

PC shall coordinate and facilitate to implement CDP in Quang Nam province in close cooperation with local partner and people.

Main responsibilities

- Work in close collaboration with other staffs of the project team, project partners, and concerned organizations to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of project activity
- Coordination and implementation of the CDP activities.
- Build local capacity for project management.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on project activities to and is supervised by Project Manager
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Cooperate directly with local partners, interact with team members and assist project manager

Qualification

- University graduate in a relevant field (preferably community development and social science etc.)
- At least 5 years of proven working experience on community development project
- Excellent English language skills in speaking and writing
- Very good computer (MS-Excel, Word, etc.) and data analysis skills
- Project planning, implementing and report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to travel and work at remote areas
