Project Director
PATH is an international, nonprofit organization that currently seeks qualified candidates for one available position in our Ho Chi Minh City office:
Project Director (#6690) to manage and monitor all aspects of a new, 3-year project aimed at reducing hypertension-related morbidity and mortality in Vietnam. Under the guidance, supervision and direction of the Vietnam Program Team Leader, the Project Director will: lead, plan, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate project activities; provide technical assistance to project staff and partners and vision for Vietnam strategy and business development; work with staff and project partners to ensure delivery of project milestones, identify issues/challenges, and develop strategies for effective project implementation; coordinate the Project Steering Committee and Technical Working Group activities; serve as PATH representative to donors, collaborating institutions, and on national working groups and task forces.
Knowledge, skills and experience required: Advanced degree in medicine, public health or related field; at least 10 years of experience working in public health and a minimum 3 years of program management experience; demonstrated knowledge of health system strengthening and public-private partnerships; experience working with government counterparts at both national and provincial levels, and the private sector; demonstrated report writing and presentation skills; excellent written and spoken Vietnamese and English; willingness and availability to travel within Vietnam up to 30 percent per year; experience in non-communicable disease is a plus.
