ABOUT OPERATION SMILE INC. IN VIETNAM

Operation Smile Vietnam is part of a global alliance of Operation Smile Foundations and Resource Chapters dedicated to providing free treatment to children and adults suffering from cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.  Besides, we also conduct Dental missions, Cranio facial, and micro surgeries with thousands of children receive new smile each year.  Operation Smile has been bringing hope to desperate Vietnamese children and their families, we are changing lives one smile at a time.

POSITION:  02 Paid Interns for Program Department – Title: Program Intern

REPORT TO: Head of Program Department

DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION: (Attached file)

PERIOD: 8-10 full time weeks full time starting in August 2015

REQUIREMENTS:

• Just graduated or going to graduate in the next 6 months
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Ablility to travel both locally and internationally.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks delivering timely, accurate results.
• Pro-active and confident to ask question, advice and for clarification.
• Has a desire to learn, to explore and to enthusiastically dedicate.
• Can invest time and effort to OSV’s activities.

• Operation Smile will support the intern monthly allowance, lunch at the office; approved work-related expenses will be reimbursed as orgnization policies.
• Operation Smile will support the intern to have chance to communicate with Operation Smile’s partners and volunteers during its missions.
• Operation Smile will support the intern to be familiar with active working environment, benefit from working with multi-national team of professionals with rich and diverse fields of expertise.
• Operation Smile will support the intern to be able to gain fabulous working experiences, specialize in Program Tasks.

Qualified candidate will be contacted for interview and writing test within 01 week from her/his submission.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  31st July, 2015, but not limited to: Working with CASA staff to develop story ideas, including interviewing volunteers, staff members, children served, etc., drafting press releases, etc.; working with PR Consultant to pitch stories to media; assisting with logistics for interviews, events, etc.; drafting public service announcements and submitting to local media to promote recruitment, a doordinating social media efforts, including updates to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.; developing marketing and public awareness materials; coordinating community meetings to provide information about becoming a CASA volunteer; contacting employers, community groups, etc. to coordinate information meetings for employees, members, etc. who may be interested in volunteering; developing materials and contacting businesses to solicit sponsorships and donations for events; and drafting content for newsletter.
