Program Assistant

IC (previously known as VVAF) is an America non-profit organization, with more than 30 years experiences managing programs around the world. The organization established representative office in Hanoi in 1994 to provide humanitarian assistance programs in Vietnam. Our involvement has grown substantially since then. By 2016, IC have been active in more than 20 provinces with a variety of assistance programs. We now focus on mental health, education, mine action and assistance for persons with disabilities/dioxin (Agent Orange).

PROGRAM ASSISTANT AT IC

The International Center (IC) is looking for a qualified Vietnamese to fill in the following position for 01 year contract at IC as Program Assistant for the Mine Action Program

Position: Program Assistant
Duty Station: Hanoi with travel to provinces/abroad
Duration of Assignment: 01 Year with possibility of extension

QUALIFICATIONS:      

• Proven excellence in English fluency supported by recognized qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience of interpreting and translation
• Proven track record of coping with field conditions and physically and mentally fit to travel nationwide at a provincial level
• High level of computer literacy including full knowledge and competence with MS Word, Excel, MS Project & Email. Software & experience of PowerPoint, desktop publishing & photo editing an advantage.
• Good interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
• Familiarity with international NGOs or the United Nations preferred
• IT/IM background and/or experience and participation in development projects advantageous
• Showing patience and high attention to details

SUPERVISION AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATION:

The incumbent works under the direct supervision and evaluation of the Program Manager.

The Program Assistant will work at IC’s office at 4th Floor, Viet Hong building, 58 Tran Nhan Tong, Hanoi with travelling to provinces when needed.
