ZERO PLASTIC WASTE CITY SOCIAL BUSINESS:
Zero Plastic Waste City is a program that enables sustainable municipal waste management systems based on a modular social business approach that will result in the creation of the ZPWC social business. The social business in Tan An (Vietnam) will be initiated by Grameen Creative Lab (GCL) in partnership with, and sponsored by, the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW).

The East Meets West Foundation (EMW),“the foundation for learning, healing and health", is a US-based non-governmental organization that assists disadvantaged communities in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia through programs in education, health, clean water and sanitation. Founded in 1988, EMW has a 32-year track record of innovative and effective work in Vietnam and a vast portfolio of completed projects. Orbis is a global non-profit organization headquartered in New York that works to prevent and treat avoidable blindness through hands-on training, public health education, and improved access to quality eye care, through partnerships with local health care organizations. Since 1982, Orbis has been a pioneer in global eye health, and has worked in 92 countries. Orbis’s story began with our first Flying Eye Hospital, a fully equipped mobile teaching hospital on board an aircraft. In addition to our Flying Eye Hospital programs, we have long-term programs in countries including Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, India, South Africa, Vietnam and Zambia – with additional programs in parts of Latin America and the Caribbean.
