SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+(Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).  SNV in international partnership with BoP Innovation Center, Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), and Nyenrode Business University manages Inclusive Business Accelerator Vietnam (IBA) which has been seed-funded by the Government of the Netherlands.

Starting in January 2014, the IBA provides technical assistance and advisory services to large companies, SMEs and start-ups which include low-income groups in their operations in agribusiness, sustainable energy, water, and ICT innovations. We have served about 30 companies with consulting and technical support in the field of business plan/funding proposal development, marketing activities, farmer group and agent network development, product development and piloting, feasibility study and market study. The IBA is currently accelerating its advisory services in agricultural value chain, innovative entrepreneurship for the youth and Corporate Social Responsibility. Therefore, we are looking for a full-time Junior Inclusive Business Advisor, based in Hanoi with some travel, who wants to develop further her/his carrier in this field.

Responsibilities

• Support in identification, proposal development and acquisition of new potential customers
• Contribute to the delivery of consultancy/advisory services
• Maintain key performance metrics for reporting to higher-level management
• Develops and maintains advisory services database, client pipelines and report on case studies
• Support any other task as requested by the IBA Manager

Candidate profile

• A degree in business, marketing, engineering, agriculture or other relevant fields
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in finance or marketing and distribution
• Self-driven with a minimal need of supervision
• Understanding of poverty and social impact
• High professional integrity and sound business judgment in identifying potential business partners
• Ability to think independently, analyze problems, and identify solutions;
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Excellent spoken and written Vietnamese and English

Contract Duration: SNV Vietnam offers one year employment contract with possibility of extension (subject to work performance).
