Invitation to Provide a Quotation for Design Work

1. Introduction

Oxfam is a world-wide development organization that mobilizes the strength and voice of people against poverty, inequality and injustice. Oxfam’s vision is a just world without poverty: a world in which people can influence decisions that affect their lives, enjoy their rights, and assume their responsibilities as full citizens of a world in which all human beings are valued and treated equally. We are a confederation of 20 Oxfam organisations working together in more than 90 countries. Oxfam works with partner organisations and alongside vulnerable women and men to end injustices.

Oxfam in Vietnam is working to seek transformative changes in policies, practices and beliefs in ways that will fundamentally improve the lives of poor and marginalised women and men, and ensure that all citizens have the same opportunity to enjoy their rights.

“Inclusive and sustainable clam and bamboo value chains development in Vietnam” project funded by EuropeAid aims to contribute to reducing poverty and inequality in rural areas of Vietnam through inclusive and sustainable Value Chain (VC) development. The project supports small scale producers (SSPs) and Micro/Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) processors of clam value chain in Ben Tre , Tra Vinh,Tien Giang and bamboo chain in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces to increase income from sustainable production and business practices Oxfam in Vietnam coordinates the implementation of the project in partnership with International Collaborating Centre for Aquaculture and Fisheries Sustainability (ICAFIS), Non-Timber Forest Products Research Centre (NTFPRC) and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

This project is looking for a creative agency or a creative designer to design and provide quotations for a project branding package.

2. Requirement of the project branding package

Overall look

We would like you to produce a unique look for this project’s communications materials and to provide guidelines on how this look can be replicated so it can be replicated in house or by different designers, quickly and concisely.

The package consists of:

• Logo
• Newsletter template (Indesign)
• Pen
• Bag
• A folder to hold A4 papers
• Two-page leaflet (A4)

2.1 Logo

• The logo must represent the following values of the project.
  
  • It is a project to support SSPs and MSMEs who live on clam and bamboo products.
  • The project aims to support those households and MSMEs to benefit fair incomes from their products and reduce poverty.
  • The project will be implemented in the collaboration among farming households + business firms + public sector
  • It promotes sustainability standards (certificates) in clam and bamboo production

• Project name: Inclusive and sustainable clam and bamboo value chains development in Vietnam (to go with the logo but not as part of the logo)

• Tagline: Project acronyms: ISCBVC (initials of the project name)

• A Contemporary but localized look.

2.2 E-newsletter template

• A4 size to accommodate text and photos.
• Colors and fonts are consistent with the logo.

2.3 Pen

• Logo and name of the project

2.4 Bag

• The logo
• Name of the project
• A slogan (if any)

2.5 Folder

• A4 size
• Including a pocket to hold business cards

2.6 Leaflet

• 2 pages (A4 size)
• Colors and tones are in alignment with the logo.

3. Time line:

The consultants are required to submit draft products to Oxfam by 20 th April 2018.

The final products will be delivered by 24 th April 2018.

4. How to produce a quote for this work

To submit a quotation for this work we would like you to break down the costs in the following way:

• Price for designing each piece of the branding package separately and estimate for how long each piece would take to produce.
• Overall price for completing everything including taxes.
• Description of how you would complete the work including timescales, methods and any early ideas you have.

Oxfam will select a single design agency based on value for money and creativity. This is ascertained by the quality of the quotation. Please make your bid clear, easy to understand and comprehensive. If you have completed a similar brief in the past please send us samples of your work and explain how you completed it.
