HRD Researcher

HRD Researcher - Up to 40 input days until 30 December 2014 / Based in Hanoi

Coffey International Development is a global development consultancy focused on making a difference by improving the lives of world communities. We are managing the DFAT-funded Australia Awards program which is an initiative to provide Vietnam with additional higher learning and leadership capability to be used by graduates to make contributions to priority development areas.

We are seeking applications from Vietnamese nationals for the position of Human Resource Development (HRD) Researcher to join our dedicated team.

The HRD Researcher will provide short term inputs to carry out a special study to identify and explain the key factors in organisations that have facilitated or constrained the application of alumni skills, knowledge, experience and contributions in the work place.

Responsibilities of the HRD Researcher will include:

  • Working closely with the Monitoring & Evaluation Adviser to develop a plan for the special study and developing an organisational assessment instrument;
  • Administer the organisational assessment instrument and build capacity in its use;
  • Undertake interviews and small group discussions with selected alumni and organisations;
  • Support the analysis of interviews and survey data; and
  • Report on the results.

For success in this position, applicants will be post-graduate qualified and will need to demonstrate significant research experience in organisational development, management, HRD and experience in conducting interviews, analysis and reporting for government organisations or programs. Knowledge of the public sector in Vietnam is essential and knowledge or experience working with international donor programs is highly desirable. Proficiency in both verbal and written English is essential.
