Graphic & Web Designer

Position Profile

The Graphic and Web Designer’s role is to create the best brand experience for AIP Foundation and its programs through the implementation of effective and meaningful print and digital designs.

The Designer will be based in Ho Chi Minh City to support AIP Foundation’s five offices in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Chengdu, China; Bangkok, Thailand; and Hanoi and HCMC, Vietnam. The Designer will develop program and communications material, digital designs, and web designs.

Responsibilities

Design Program & Communications material such as:
Banners, backdrops, standees, flyers, posters, brochures, greeting cards, stationary, annual reports, educational material, logos, brand identity for projects/campaigns, monthly E-newsletter, online mass mailings, website layouts etc.

Develop and maintain organization’s branding and identity on all design materials e.g. event and communications materials, stationary, and website etc.

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Supervise printing process
  • Coordinating with suppliers (e.g. web developers and printers) to ensure highest quality of final product
  • Retouch photos and manage photo library
  • Collaborate with program staff, from creative brainstorming to revision and production
  • Edit videos and documentaries (occasionally)
  • Keep up-to-date with program/development/communications activities
  • Update news and content for AIP Foundation’s website (occasionally)
  • Support the teams by giving advice/comments on outsourcing projects to improve product’s quality

Qualifications

  • More than one year experience in graphic design
  • Extensive knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good English skills
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage expectations, and take the initiative in gathering information for design requests
  • Ability to assist and take over ongoing projects/tasks
  • Ability to understand brief/feedbacks and apply to designs
  • Proficiency to work on Mac OS
  • Flexible, dynamic, professional, and innovative
  • Prior experience managing multiple projects
  • Ability to adapt designs/artworks to different cultures and communities
  • Willingness to learn

Additional qualifications

  • Relevant university degree
  • Knowledge/experience of web design and HTML is a plus
  • Knowledge/experience of printing and coding process is a plus
  • Knowledge of Corel Draw, Dreamweaver, Premier is a plus
